Flannery McKenna is a graduate of New York University. He’s a filmmaker, writer and commercial director. He specializes in doc and lifestyle storytelling, bringing vitality to real subjects on screen. He has a wealth of experience filming with non-actors.
His short film “The Grit”, highlighting the groundbreaking work of Not Impossible Labs, was featured at the 2017 Tribeca Disruptor Awards.
He worked for years with the once famed Maker Studios, creating content programs with YouTube creators.
He now brings that content creation experience to work for many of the world’s leading agencies and the brands they support: Edelman, Geometry, Grey, Havas, Landor, JWT, Ogilvy, TBWA, Weber Shandwick, Wunderman Health & Y&R. He has also worked extensively in the healthcare and pharma sectors, filming with real patients to tell stories for Colgate, GSK, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer.
He lives in Los Angeles, where he’s developing various film projects of his own, but travels to New York constantly. He sees a political struggle in nearly everything but he’ll always save that until after the camera wraps.
