Flannery McKenna is a documentary filmmaker and commercial content director. He works extensively with brands in the pharma and healthcare space and continually partners with Hogarth Worldwide on behalf of the WPP creative agencies and the groups they support - Grey, JWT, Y&R, Ogilvy, Havas Tonic, Geometry, GSK and Pfizer.
Prior to becoming a director, he worked as a writer and brand strategist for publishers and global marketers - Colgate, Condé Nast, Ford, GEICO, GSK, L’Oreal, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Maker Studios, Malaria No More, S&P Global, Under Armour, Unilever, Upworthy, USAID and Vodacom.
In addition to for-hire projects, he’s developing an original television series with animator Simon Ampel, UMG artist Pusha T, Authentic management and the United Talent Agency.
He is passionate about telling honest stories and eliciting genuine emotion from his film subjects.
He splits his time between New York City and Los Angeles and is a local hire in both cities.
